Isn’t He a Compassionate God?

By Arman Seguis

Matthew 9: 36 “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like a sheep without a shepherd.”

I was reading a book by our very own Bro. Bo “How to turn your thoughts into things”, I was inspired, touched and blessed by the book.  Then after I finished reading, I received a txt message from my friend asking me to load her cellphone for 150 pesos to her new number. Without doubt and refresh by the book that I read I immediately load my friend 150 pesos. I told to myself, God is tested my faith, then I shared to my wife and my kids about it. Of course, they laughed at me, but my wife surprisingly asked me, “are you sure that it is her who texted you? And she said I doubt it?” I said to her, I leave it to God.  The next day my friend called me up and I immediately asked her if she got the load, and she laughed at me and she told me that she did not asked for a load and she did not change her number.  I was downhearted and concluded that somebody fooled me.

A very simple experience but look it is evident that the children of God is prune to harassment and shameful experience and has been continually harassed and fooled. God sees it and He knows that we are helpless, that we need a protector and deliverer. He understood how helpless we are, in times of crises and troubles, failures and shame. He has so much compassion with a grieving heart to us who need his help. He presented to us like a shepherd, who is willing to give up his life for his sheep. God has a big heart to love us so much and has a huge shoulder to lean on for our comfort.

Compassion is from the root word – “compass” means to surround or to achieve.  We are surrounded by His great love.  He wants to achieve that we are covered by His great compassion and tenderness love. Whatever it takes we have Jesus always in our side. He sees us in the crowd of the people and he knows who we are? He cares for us, for you and me.

Cheer up and be blessed all the days of your life.  In Jesus name. Amen

God bless us all.

TODAY IS THE DAY OF YOUR VICTORY

By Arman Seguis
You need to stop talking constantly about the situation you are going through.  Decide to get through it and declare victory!  Do not accept your present, temporary situation as your permanent condition.  Make up your mind to get on with your life and to fulfill your divine purpose despite your current circumstances.

God wants each of us to come through whatever situation we face.  We are not to be moved by what we see but by what we do not see.

2 Corinthians 5:7  .. Walk by faith, not by sight...

Begin to declare today..I have had enough! Now is the time i am going to get through this mess! today is the day of my victory...

The devil tells us that we will never be victorious, that we will never get through what  we are going through.  The enemy wants us to think that there's nothing more permanent than our temporary situation.

1 Corinthians 10:13 " No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.  And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."

Take hold of this verse and use for your declaration of victory over every situation you are in. God is faithful. He will provide a way for you.  You can take stand of faith and boldly proclaim " Today is the day of my victory."

In Jesus Name... Amen...

God bless..

YOUR BEST FRIENDS ARE THOSE WHO BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN YOU.

By Arman Seguis
In Proverbs 27:19  it says."A mirror reflects a man's face, but what he really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses."

Proverbs 13:20 tells us, "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise; but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."

We become like those with whom we associate with.  We need to be very carefull in choosing  friends or those people we accompany, because in one way or another it will affect our lives.

A few months ago, i found myself stagnant and i was with friends that has no direction in life. We keep on talking our problems, frustrations and somehow i felt i started to be like them as well.  One day i decided to attend the loving people of God at the feast.  I need those people that bring out the best of me and influence me to become a better person.  And Praise the Lord, i was able to stand again in God's mighty presence and grace.

Go and look for a friend whose life cause you to have a greater faith and confidence and to see things from God's perspective. After being with them, our spirits and our sights are raised.

I have found that it is better to be alone than in the wrong company.  A single conversation with the right person can be more valuable than years of study.

The Lord showed us that we needed to change our closest associations, and that we needed to have a contact with the right people on a regular basis.  The men of strong faith, people who made us better person.

Whem you sorround yourself with the right kind of people, you enter into God ordained power of agreement.

Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10,12 states:  Two can accomplish more that twice as much as one, for the results can be much better.  If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he is in trouble.  And one standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back to back and conquer; three is even better, for a triple braided cord is not easily broken.

Remember always, that in the eyes of average people, average is always considered outstanding. Look carefully at your closer associations, becaue it's an indication of the direction you're heading.

Be wise in choosing your friends today and you will find victory.

IN JESUS NAME. AMEN

DREAM BIG .... AIM HIGH....

By Arman Seguis
People whose faith as smaller than mustard seed but dream big and aim high that ran ahead of their minds have made all the great discoveries in life.  Significant achievements have not been obtained by taking small risks on important issues.  Do not ever waste time planning, analyzing and risking on small ideas but rather take a chance to dream big and aim high.  It is always wise to spend more time on decisions that are irreversible and to spend less time on those that are reversible.  Learn to stretch and reach out to where God is.  Dream Big...Aim high and take risks.

I like the story of the fish ball vendor who earns 500 pesos per day.  He started with one cart of selling fish ball at his nearby community. He started thinking to make another cart for other to sell his fish ball and he had earned another 500 pesos for another cart.  Then he make another cart and another cart and another one that makes a total of 50 carts. Now he is earning 25,000 per day.  He dream big and aim high....

Don't become so caught up in the small matters that you cannot take advantage of bigger opportunities.  Choose to dream big, to strive to reach the full potential of your calling.  Choose to major on the important issues of life, not on the unimportant.  H. Stern said, " if you're hunting rabbits in tiger country you must keep eye peeled for tigers, but when you are hunting tigers, you can ignore the rabbits."  There are plenty of tigers to go around.  Do not be distracted by the rabbits of life.  Set your sights on bigger game.  If you want to see, if you can really swim, don't frustrate yourself with shallow water.

Security and opportunity are total strangers.  If an undertaking does not include faith, it is not worthy of being called God' s direction.  I do not believe that God would call any of us to do anything that would not include an element of faith in Him.

Hebrews 11: 1 - " Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

Matthew 9:29 - Jesus said.."According to your faith will it be done to you."

Dream big and aim high because we are serving a big God.

IN JESUS NAME... AMEN..

GOD BLESS.

GOD NEVER SEES US AS FAILURES BUT LEARNERS.

By Arman Seguis
It is how we respond to failures and mistakes is one of the most important decisions we make every day of our life.  Failure does not mean that nothing has been accomplished.  There is always the opportunity to learn something.

I have so much failures in life and i think every does as well, but the good thing for us that in every failure we did is an opportunity to make us a better person.  We all experience failure and make mistakes.  In fact, successful people always have more failure in thier lives than average people do.  Great people throughout history have all failed at some point in their lives.  Those who do not expect anything are never disappointed, those who never try never fail.  Anyone who is currently achieving anything in life is simultaneously risking failure.  It is better to fail in doing something than to excel at doing nothing.  A flawed diamond is more valuable that a perfect brick. People who have no failures also have few victories.

God never sees any of us as failures, He only sees us as learners.  He allows us to fail and commit mistakes for us to learn.  When we are a child and wanted to walk, we slowly stand up and take a first step with courage, yes we fall but the good thing i remember that everytime we fall to take the first step to walk we are never tired to try again and again until we learn to walk.  That is what God wants us to be.  Not a failures but a learners.

Learn the lesson and forget the details for your failures. Have you ever noticed that the devil never reminds you of the lesson?  He only wants you to remember the details.  Gain from the experience, but do not roll the minute details of it over and over in your mind.  Build on the experience, and get on with your life.

Remember that the call is higher than the fall.

Psalm 55:22 says " Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the rigtheous  fall."

IN JESUS NAME.. AMEN.

GOD BLESS US ALL.

DON'T WASTE TIME OF YOUR TOMORROWS...

By Arman Seguis
Some or many of us today are still futile, loser and cannot move on because of their past mistakes or failures in life that are  still on their memories and even written in their hearts.  You need to break the power of the past's domination of your present and its influence over your future.

Luke 9:62, Jesus said. " No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

Believers should not allow the past to keep hold of the joy of having  the Lord Jesus in our life today. The more we look backward, the less we are able to look forward.  The past is not the only determining factor of what God can do for us today.

The beauty of the Christian life is that even we fail, we can ask forgiveness and be totally cleansed of and released from our past actions.

1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

It is never God who holds us back, we hold ourselves by allowing the past to keep us from living to the fullest in the present and future. Failure is waiting around the corner for those who live off yesterday's successes and failures.  We should choose to be forward focused, not past possessed.  We should learn to profit from the past and to invest in the future.

Philippians 3: 13-14, "Brethren, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do; Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

To fulfill what God has planned for us, is to forget the past, don't waste your time of your tomorrows.   Today is the day to shake off the shackles of the past and to move forward.

The past is past, and has no life at all.

IN JESUS NAME...BE FREE FROM YOUR PAST... AMEN..

GOD BLESS US ALL.

DON'T BE AFRAID TO TAKE THE RISK TO GAIN SUCCESS.

By Arman Seguis
If you want to be successful, you must either have a chance or take one.  You can't get your head above water if you never stick your neck out.  Ika nga " Kung duwag ka sa mga hamon ng buhay, mananatili kang duwag habang buhay." You don't like it that your life be that way... right...

A dream that does not include risk is not really worthy of being called a dream. If you'll never take risks, you'll never accomplish great things.  Everybody dies, but not everyone has lived.

You know what, i've been putting up business under my name seven (7) companies, i even joined all networking companies and even created one networking company.  I succeeded but it did not last. I had taken all the risk to open business and even until now i continue taking risk to gain complete success. Palagi kung sinasabi.."Ang umaayaw ay hindi nagwawagi." ..right...

C.S. Lewis said," The safest road to hell is a gradual one -- the gentle slope, soft under foot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signpost."  Elizabeth Kenny reflected, " It is better to be a lion for a day than a sheep all your life."  If you dare for nothing, you need hope for nothing.

If you don't risk anything, you risk even more.  Every person has a chance to improve himself, but some just don't believe in taking chances.  Being destined for greatness requires you to take risks and confront great hazards in life.

Stemmons once said, "When your chances are slim and none... go, with slim." Morris West remarked, " If you spend your whole life inside waiting for the storm you'll never enjoy the sunshine." No one reaches the top without daring.

Whenever you see a successful person, I guarantee you that person took so many risks and made courageous decisions.  Success favours the bold or strong person who always take the risks.  The world is a book in which those who do not take risks read only one page.

Tommy Barnett said, " Many people believe that you really walking by faith when there is no risk, but the truth is the longer you walk with God, the greater the risk." If you have found yourself throughout life never scared, embarrassed, disappointed, or hurt it means you have never taken any chances.

The beautiful passages of the Bible of His promises will give us encouragement to take the chances;

Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Joshua 1: 6 " No one will be able to stand up against you, all the days of your life.  As i was with Moses,  so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you."

Get up and stand on your feet, take your chance and don't be afraid to take the risk to gain your success.  Blessings is now on your way. IN JESUS NAME... AMEN...

GOD BLESS US ALL.

GOD WANTS US TO BE DECISIVE...

By Arman Seguis
Have you ever noticed that some of the most miserable people you know are those who can never make a decision? Many time indecision causes things to go from bad to worse.  When the mind is in doubt, it is easily swayed by slight impulses, opening the door to many wrong decisions.  The middle of the road is the most dangerous place to be.

We believers should be the most decisive of all people.  Christian leaders should have wills, not wishes only.

James 1:8 - "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."

An indecisive person allows instability to creep into every area of life.  If we don't decide what is important to us, we will do only what is important to others.  Being decisive, being focused, and committing ourselves to the fulfilment of a dream greatly increase our probability of success, while closing the door to wrong options.

One of my biggest decision in my life is when i enter politics.  Last 2007 election i decided to run for Mayor of one of the town in Bulacan.  I exerted all my efforts and money, to make the story short i lost my bid to become a mayor. A very expensive experience but i learned something, i learned how to decide.  May kasabihan nga, " and umaayaw ay hindi nagwawagi." right...

The challenge is to be decisive dreamers.  Harry Truman once said, "Some questions cannot be answered, but they can be decided."  Even we do not have all the facts available, we usually have all the facts needed to make a decision.

Colossians 3:15 "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace."

Let the peace of Christ will act as an umpire in our hearts.  His peace can literally say "out" to that relationship of indecisive and "safe" to the decisive ideas.

Thank God we serve a decisive Lord.  He has given peace and His Word so that we can make a decisions.  We should not be the kind of person who claim that God has told us one thing this week and the very opposite next week. God does not change His direction that dramatically, nor does He ever direct anything to act contrary to the good sense and sound judgement shown in His Word.

God wants us to be decisive.  As His children, we should be like our heavenly Father with whom there is "no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

James 1:17 - " Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

We should be people of great wills.  If the devil controls our will, he controls our destiny.  But if God controls our will, then He controls our destiny.

The choice is ours.  Let's be decisive. Let's make the right decision.  Don't be a person who says, "My decision is maybe, and that's final."

God wants us to be decisive. IN JESUS NAME... AMEN.

GOD BLESS.

A HOME OF HAPPINESS

By Arman Seguis

I am writing more of happiness because I wanted to be happy too.  Sometimes our human emotions dictates us whether you are happy or not. Have you experienced it? Na minsan gusto mong maging masaya pero parang ayaw mong maging masaya? Di ba nakakainis noh?" Gusto mong tumawa pero parang wala ka sa mood na tumawa. “But to be happy, we must agree and tell to ourselves that we are happy.  We must start TODAY, proclaiming happiness in our life, in our home, in our offices and wherever we go.  We must tell ourselves that "I AM HAPPY."

There is something within us which always condemns and tell us not to be happy. It is our selfish act or our ego. I have never known a greedy, grasping, selfish person to be happy.  Where these pre-conception dominates in the nature, it is impossible for the things which create love to live.  The weeds kill the more tender plants and flowers which radiates sweetness and beauty, contentment and happiness. Let ourselves be a home of happiness, not a home of greed and selfish nature.  It is impossible for a selfishness to taste the quality of the highest happiness, as it is for a blind man to appreciate the glories of a sunset.

A person can never realize complete, abiding happiness until he/she gets into the overflowing joy and happiness from God.  Because in everything on a material thing is transitory and in constant change.  There is nothing permanent, nothing abiding, in that which material things can give.

I have three (3) kids, namely Naomi Mary 20, Gaius Joshua 18 and Symeon Peter 10, I give them material things like PSP up to Laptop…etc, of course they are happy every time I was able to provide their material needs, but when I am went out of the country to do business trips, I can see the loneliness in their hearts. Hindi pa ako nakaalis, tatanungin na nila ako “ Dad kailan balik mo”? Of course they wanted the “pasalubong”. If you give love unselfishly to the person that surrounds you, you are creating and building a home of happiness.

The most unhappy person I know build their own purgatory by their false ideas of life, by putting the wrong emphasis on things, by setting the wrong value on things.  The man with the ill-gotten fortune may found colleges, build hospitals, feed and clothe the poor, and yet never find the happiness which has been the quest of his whole career.  Happiness can no more be bought.

 The bible says:

Psalm 68: 3, “But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.”

There is no superficial happiness if you continue believing and trusting God of His infinite love to us. Try now, by creating happiness at home and you can see the beauty of happiness of having Jesus our Lord at home. Shout the whole word and say,” I AM HAPPY” … IN JESUS NAME… AMEN..

 GOD BLESS US ALL
